Poema 'Do not stand at my grave and weep', cantado por Katherine Jenkins

Do not stand at my grave and weep é um poema que foi escrito em 1932 por Mary Elizabeth Frye, nascida em Ohio, 1905 e falecida em 2004. Mary morou em Baltimore e era dona de casa e florista. Ela ficou famosa como autora desse poema.

Há alguns fatos incríveis relacionados a este poema. Por exemplo, sua autoria ficou desconhecida até o final dos anos 1990, quando Mary foi finalmente revelada e confirmada como autora dele por Abigail Van Buren, uma colunista de jornal.

Outro fato é a inspiração crística do poema, que foi o primeiro escrito por Mary quando uma mulher judia lhe contou que a mãe dela estava doente na Alemanha e que ela foi avisada para não voltar lá, por causa do movimento anti-semítico. Assim, quando a mãe dessa senhora morreu, ela não pode ficar ao lado de seu túmulo e chorar.

Em seguida, Mary foi inspirada a escrever este poema.

Run To The Hills, do Iron Maiden, traduzida

Run to the Hills é o sexto single (1982) do Iron Maiden, banda britânica de heavy metal. Também é a sexta faixa do álbum The Number of the Beast, e um dos primeiros sucessos da banda.

A letra desta canção, que é uma música do Steve Harris, baixista e fundador da banda, é bem clara: mostra a invasão do homem branco na América do Norte e o ataque e assassinato dos índios.

A expressão Soldier Blue faz referência ao filme de mesmo nome, cujo título no Brasil foi Quando é preciso ser homem, de 1970, dirigido por Ralph Nelson. Com um roteiro de John Gay e baseado no livro Arrow in the Sun, de Theodore V. Olsen, a história narra o massacre de índios que ocorreu em 1864, o chamado "Sand Creek Massacre", no Território do  Colorado. Esse filme tem muitas cenas fortes de decapitação e fuzilamento de mulheres e crianças indígenas.

Will You Be There é uma das mais belas canções de Michael Jackson. Ela foi  lançada como single em 1993, e foi incluída na divulgação do disco Dangerous. Essa canção também integrou a trilha sonora do filme Free Willy.

Com toques de música africana, indiana e erudita, essa canção proporcionou a Michael Jackson um MTV Movie Award como a "Melhor Trilha Sonora Original" pelo filme  Free Willy.
